If you have a small pup with allergies or dietary restrictions, then this review is for you. Wellness has made an appearance on my blog several times within the past year. It is a brand and company that I trust and also support. When it comes to my dogs I pay very close attention to what I am feeding them, from food to treats. My smallest, Chloe, is a pug with a history of severe allergies. Wellness offers several products for pug parents like myself. They have dry food, wet food, and snacks without wheat or grain.

Wellness has recently released the first-ever all natural treat line for small breed dogs just like my little Chloe Marie. What does this mean? I no longer have to break apart those huge dog bones in four different pieces to make them tiny enough for her little chompers! These tasty treats are specially made for her and other breeds her size. My favorite part is that they are grain free! Grain-free is SO important when it comes to being the mommy of a dog with allergies and sensitive skin. Chloe is allergic to just about everything out there. I have to make a conscious effort to purchase treats and food that stray far away from any type of wheat or grain. Otherwise I have one itchy, irritable, and very uncomfortable puggy on my hands. I was very excited that Wellness came out with such a treat. They have become my go-to brand because they know exactly what my four legged friend needs. 

Wellness Petite Treats are available in crunchy mini-bites and soft mini-bites. Each comes in two delicious varieties. Soft Mini Bites- Turkey. Pomegranate, & Ginger or Lamb, Apples, & Cinnamon. Crunchy Mini Bites- Duck, Mango, & Coconut or Chicken, Cherries, & Spearmint. Each flower shaped treat is packed with high-end flavors from whole foods. This includes flaxseed which helps promote a healthy, shiny coat. These are the kind of treats you feel confident giving your pet. They are full of nutrients while being low in calories. By the flavor descriptions alone they sound like a gourmet meal packed in a bite sized snack!

Since I received samples to try first hand, I have been giving both of my dogs the petite treats on a daily basis. I put their old bones and bags of snacks to the side so I could really see if they were enjoying them. I can always tell if a treat is a big hit when they come back for seconds, thirds, and beg for fourths! Sam will eat just about anything you put in front of him but Chloe is one picky girl. Both of them tend to snub the treats I give them in hopes they are going to get something better, like a steak. But when given the petite treats, Chloe was immediately interested. She had no problem eating them and the size was perfect for her tiny teeth to munch on. Wellness has hit another home run in our house!
