As an Instagram connoisseur, I have noticed that several trends have developed when it comes to posting photos and on certain days of the week. We have your #ManCrushMonday, #WayBackWednesday, #ThrowBackThursday, and even #FlashbackFriday. I normally participate on Thursday, adding my own twist to the challenge. I call it, “#ThrowBackToodie! It’s the one day that I get to look back and choose my favorite memories of my little girl growing up. Sometimes it’s hard to choose JUST one and I got a little coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs posting like a crazy woman. But that‘s okay. Who doesn’t enjoy looking at a sweet little face and huge toothless smile? With that being said, I decided to bring the trend over to my blog and begin a #ThrowBackToodie collection. Each Thursday I will share the cute, the funny, and the silly moments of Toodie that I have captured.
The photo below is one of my all time favorites. I remember it as though it was yesterday. It was Toodie’s first Halloween and we were on the way to pick up her daddy from the airport. She was bundled up and ready to go with a huge smile on her face. All gums and no teeth! Pure happiness.
Learning to twist, lick, and dip came natural to Toodie. Oreos were one of her favorite discoveries. A cookie with cream? Who would say no to that! She mastered the dunk on the first try.
Fashion trends really do start early. Practicing for the future cover of Vogue, this plush Octopus tied the whole outfit together! Let’s not forget the beloved “bobo.” That’s one accessories I am NOT missing. I can’t even remember how we got rid of that thing without the world collapsing…
This photo always cracks me up. She used to love going outside and looking at the sprinklers, but when it came time to getting wet she would NOT have it. “Noooo, I’m melltttiinnnnnggg!”
Beginning her love of vegetables early, corn on the cob has been a favorite since. Who needs holders when you have two little hands to keep that cob in place!? This meal made for one interesting diaper change. Chomp Chomp.. this is yummy.
That concludes the first segment of #ThrowBackToodie Thursdays! Come back next week for new memories and funny moments with my little munchkin.
