Breakfast recipes and snacks are beginning to trend on my blog this month! I’ve covered fun alternatives for the kids and even the parent on the go but what about a dish that the whole entire family will enjoy? I was provided with the opportunity to create a delicious and unique recipe using Jimmy Dean Sausage Crumbles. When I think of breakfast there are many mouth watering components that enter my mind. In our home it usually consists of toast, eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, and a big glass of Orange juice to wash it all down. What if you could combine your favorite parts of Breakfast into one tasty meal? Using my own, I created “Breakfast Cups” using cheesy hash browns, eggs, and the oh-so convenient Jimmy Dean Sausage Crumbles. Since they are fully cooked, this recipe takes less time to make & gives you more time to enjoy!
- 12 whole eggs
- 1 package of Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage Crumbles
- 1 package of frozen shredded hash brown potatoes (thawed)
- 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- salt, pepper & garlic seasoning
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray one 12 cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
- In large bowl combine shredded hash browns, cheddar cheese, & Jimmy Dean Sausage Crumbles. Mix in desired amount of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I used a teaspoon of each.
- Scoop 4 tablespoons of mixture into each muffin tin cup. Use your fingers to pat down the ingredients to the sides and bottom of the cup. Do this until you have created a nest like shape.
- Place in oven for 15-20 minutes or until the hash brown edges are golden brown.
- When crispy, remove the pan and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- Crack and place an individual egg into each cup.
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt & pepper on top before placing back into the oven. Bake until egg whites are set.
- Remove, scoop out, & enjoy!
Jimmy Dean has been a part of my family’s breakfast routine for years. Whether it’s their croissant sandwiches or hearty skillet meals, no one leaves the house with an unhappy tummy. The Jimmy Dean Crumbles are available in Original Pork Sausage, Hot & Spicy Sausage, and Turkey. Look for them in the refrigerated section of your local supermarket.
