Eating healthy can be really tough, especially when you are craving something sweet and not so healthy. That’s where the new Fiber One Streusel Bars come in. Available in two different flavors, Strawberry and Blueberry, these bars offer a tasty combination of real fruit and 12 grams of whole grains which make them a sensible treat that tastes more like an indulgence. The soft-baked bars are topped with a delicious brown sugar streusel crumble and have 20% of your daily value of fiber. Did I mention they are only 150 calories a piece? That’s much less than that batch of cookies I made this week!
In fact, the Fiber One Streusel bars are a sweet alternative to the unhealthy desserts, snacks, and treats that I always seem to be tempted by. They also act as recipe inspiration for those days I need to satisfy my sweet tooth while still controlling the calories. While the bars are delicious as is, I came up with my own low calorie dessert, also known as a “streusel hack.” I used the Blueberry bars, Cool Whip, fresh organic berries, coconut flakes, and shaved white chocolate for garnish. By combining a few extra ingredients this turned into a Very Berry Cobbler Bar, minus the ice cream! But who needs all those extra empty calories anyways?
Warm up the bars in the microwave before adding the toppings or stick them in the refrigerator if you prefer a firm chewy bite. The best part is no matter which way you eat them these are guilt-free and you don’t have to feel bad treating yourself. They also only take a few minutes to take. No baking, no waiting, and no messy clean up.
