This is a sponsored post on behalf of AdoramaPix. As always, all opinions are my own and my love for these high quality photo books is the real deal!
Over the years the way in which we store and share our memories has evolved tremendously. It’s nothing short of amazing that we have gone from what we now consider a vintage film roll to digitally transferring our most treasured photos from camera to computer within seconds. Waiting for them to be developed at the corner store is no longer a necessity and neither is printing 200 random images from a wind up camera in which half are shadowy figures or accidental shots of your shoe.
I love taking photos but I love being able to enjoy them even more. All of those random print outs tend to get lost in the shuffle of life and sometimes forgotten in time. This is why I prefer to turn my precious moments into photo books. In fact, earlier this year I created the first of my collection with AdoramaPix after Toodie’s 6th birthday. I was more than impressed with the results and could not believe that I had the ability to make such a beautiful book from the hundreds of pictures taken that day. Since then I have been looking for any excuse to make another and with Mother’s Day just around the corner I thought this would be a wonderful opportunity to create something special for my own mom.
The true beauty of creating a photo book is that your memories are safely stored and conveniently displayed for you to look back on at any point in time. You don’t have to rummage through a shoe box of prints to find that one photo when your daughter lost her first tooth or won the school spelling bee. AdoramaPix makes it easy for photo fanatics like myself who have a drawer full of memory cards. They have been serving the photography community for over a decade and are known for their high-quality products, including the popular photo books. From the sturdy pages to the beautiful glossy finish-they truly do make for a great keepsake and gift.
Choosing the right Mother’s Day gift has always been an easy task when it comes to my own mom. She is just like me and loves personalized treasures, especially when they involve her granddaughter. After six years of accumulating a ton of photos I had plenty to choose from. Before moving back to Florida from Colorado my mom was a frequent visitor. She couldn’t stand being away from Toodie. We shared so many memorable moments together there, including my pregnancy and her first time seeing snow. It was tough narrowing it down but luckily I had 27 pages and the ability to add on even more as I designed her book!
In addition to selecting more pages you can also customize each to your liking. This includes the placement of your photos, design, backdrops, added text, colors, and even stickers to coordinate with your theme. If you lack creative juices AdoramaPix has design options to choose from or you can let your imagination run wild and start from scratch. I really liked the “I Love Mom” layout and decided it would be the perfect foundation to add my own touches to.
One of the things that makes AdoramaPix stand out from other companies is their lay-flat books. This style allows you to see the full picture without any bending when flipping through the pages. The pages themselves are thick, sturdy, and very durable. While the book should always be handled with care, I don’t see the pages tearing or warping easily in time. They don’t print on paper you can find at an office supply store and choose master-quality photo paper for a premium finish. You are getting what you pay for and in this case it’s worth every penny.
Overall, I have been very pleased with my experience using AdoramaPix to create keepsakes for myself and my loved ones. I find that their design software is extremely user friendly and the process of uploading the photos is quick. This is important when you are choosing over 200 photos to sort through for your book. It’s virtually painless and I enjoyed adding my own touches to each page. I was even able to scan and upload a piece of art work Toodie made for my mom. I know she is going to appreciate this sweet personalized addition.
What grandma wouldn’t love receiving a book full of loving photos and special moments? I am looking forward to seeing her reaction on Sunday because I know this is a priceless gift that she will cherish for a lifetime.
