In case it hasn’t been too obvious, I am kind of in love with all-things Halloween. There is no denying that my family and I are excited for the month of October. It’s full of so many fun things: visiting pumpkin patches at the local farmer’s market, decorating our home with ghosts & goblins, baking spooky desserts, and shopping for the perfect costume. There are quite a few exciting things to look forward to. Plus Halloween really does kick off the fall season and gets us all in the mood to tap into our inner ghoulie! Adult or child, it’s the one time of year you can dress up and parade around in a silly costume while collecting candy. But in order to ensure your pillow sack gets stuffed with yummy sweets, one must have a costume to trick-or treat in! It’s kinda a Halloween essential, ya know?
With that in mind, Toodie and I headed to Party City this week to browse their huge costume selection. Over the years I have learned two things about Halloween costume shopping. The first is getting it done early in the month saves time, energy, and sanity because there is nothing worse than not being able to find the costume your child wants. The second? It’s better to purchase a costume at a retailer that sells all the things you need to go with it, including accessories and extras. This is why we love shopping at Party City. In a matter of minutes we were able to fill a basket with everything needed to turn Toodie into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle… or Turtlette as I call it.
With many Nickelodeon costumes to choose from, Party City makes costume shopping easy on parents. It’s your one-stop destination for all things Halloween, including party supplies a candy. Right now your child can even score a free digital poster when you make any Nickelodeon in-store purchase. Their personalized poster will feature your child’s favorite character along with an autograph. Pretty cool huh? This offer is only valid in-store until 10/31 and limited to 1 per customer. You must also see a store associate at checkout for more details.
Becoming a “turtlette” can be achieved on Halloween or any day of the year. If your kiddo is anything like mine then playing dress up is a weekly occurrence so costumes never go to waste after a night of trick-or-treating.
Here is what you need to turn your little girl into the fiercest Ninja Turtlette on the block:
- Child Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tutu Dress
- Child Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Headbopper
- Child Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Slippers
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Wand
- Child Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shell Backpack
- Child Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Footless Tights
You can find this Nickelodeon themed costume and accessories can at your local Party City. Don’t forget the trick-or-treat bag or bucket too!
This TMNT costume turned out adorable and Toodie loved that she was able to dress up as her favorite turtle, Raphael. Each morning she watches Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Nickelodeon before school and on numerous occasions I have found her replicating the scenes in her pajamas! It’s neat to see that she enjoys watching a show that I was also crazy about as a kid. Plus, in all honesty who doesn’t love a turtle that eats pizza and fights off bad guys at the same time? Heroes in a half shell, turtle power!
