Take What You Need..

Last night while I was performing my usual nightly venture into the land of Pinterest, I came across this photo. I couldn’t help but think I saw it for a reason because it encompasses the way I have been feeling lately perfectly. I don’t know why and I still am trying to figure it out but I have had a lot of overwhelming feelings pouring in recently. I can’t even put my finger on what exactly it is.
I always try and look for the positive in life. After everything I have been through, the happy and the sad, this has helped me cope with most of it. In all honesty does anything ever get better when you’re always negative or looking for the worst? I don’t think so.. Therefore this is what I try to do! It’s not always easy but I notice that it has made me a happier person in general.
With being a full time mom, focusing on my school,  my relationship, my friendships, and my family,balancing time for ME can sometimes be hard.  I “need to take” some mommy time. I’m great at multi tasking all aspects of my life but at times i feel very overwhelmed. I miss the care free teenage days when I didn’t have to worry about much of anything. Now that I am an adult, life is a juggling act. There is so much I see in my future but I feel like it is taking forever to get there. I “need to take” a little more patience.

I realize that nobody’s life is perfect. No matter what we see on the outside, someone else out there has it worse than us. Everyone gets stressed, overwhelmed, frustrated, cranky, grumpy,and sometimes just NASTY! For me, this is when i “need to take” a CHILL PILL. It’s okay though. It will always pass. I am thankful to have a supportive family who has stood by my side no matter the struggle. A beautiful daughter that thinks i’m a super hero and never fails to brighten my day. An amazing man who loves me, regardless of my faults, has never tried to change me. A best friend who I can sit on the phone or hours with and always knows the right thing to say. I “need to take” more time to appreciate what I have.

Some days I may “need to take” more than others … but that’s okay because I have a ton of people behind me to fall back on. Life is too short to focus our energy on the imperfections. Don’t be afraid to rely on those who love you for a pick me up. One day they may need to take a little too..

My Thoughts: 

  What better way to try out the new Dr. Scholl’s Ball of Foot Cushions than in a new pair of heels? A couple of months ago I purchased these from Sole Society and have not had a chance to really break them in. While they are generally comfortable shoes, there is always that moment of discomfort after a few hours of standing in them. These little cushions work wonders. They are small enough to conceal within your shoe but the right size to cover the ball of your foot. The pad keeps still inside your shoes and also prevents your foot from sliding back and forth. These are a heaven sent for long weekend nights out dancing and walking around!

Jewelmint: Twilight Bow Tie Bracelet

 

This little black bag arrived in my mailbox today. It’s hard to believe that my Jewelmint order arrived here in less than a week! I’m glad it did because I have been watching the shipping updates like a hawk. I couldn’t wait to see the Twilight Bow Tie Bracelet I ordered in person. It definitely did not disappoint!

 

 

The packaging itself is very classy. Each Jewelmint piece comes in a generous sized mint green box tied with their signature black ribbon around it.

 

 

When you open the box you are presented with a description of the piece of jewelry you purchased.

 

  Stowed away on the bottom of the box is your jewelry. The Twilight Bow Tie Bracelet came in a medium sized black Jewelmint bag for safe keeping.

 

 

I still can’t believe how beautiful the bracelet was as soon as I took it out of the box! I was excited from all of the photos I peeked at of the gold version but they really did not do it any justice. This is also my FIRST Jewelmint piece and i think i made a good choice. I am happy that I waited to see if they would ever offer the bracelet in silver. It’s feminine, sparkly, and everything i imagined it to be. The bracelet is more on the petite side but I prefer dainty jewelry over huge statement pieces.

My Thoughts:

 
The scent I received in my Spring VoxBox was the classic Sweet Pea. The Sweet Pea scent contains notes of Sweet Pea, Watery Pear, Logan Berry, Rhubarb,Cyclamen, Freesia, and Raspberry. It’s a very fresh, sweet, and girly scent that can easily be layered with other body mists, lotions, and perfumes containing similar notes. Sweet Pea is very familiar to me because along with Juniper Breeze, which is discontinued, it was one of the first fragrances I ever used from Bath & Body Works. It’s been around for years and continues to be one of the most popular scents. I really like that it’s not too overpowering and on the days i don’t feel like wearing a strong perfume, this is what I use. I am a big fan of the floral fruity scents, this being one of my favorites. The new packaging immediately caught my eye when i took it out of the box. I like this style bottle so much better than their previous ones. It’s sleek and sophisticated but still contains their classic scents. Another plus when it comes to the fragrance mists is that they always have other products to pair with them. This includes body lotions, washes, candles, anti bacterial soap, body scrub, home fragrance, and even shampoo & conditioner! You can easily layer the scent of your choice with all of these products. The New Fine Fragrance Mist make great gifts and are also essential additions to your current collection.

KimmyShop.com: Yo Gabba Gabba Backpack Review

Does your child have a favorite TV show or movie character that you have a hard time finding items for? I know this has happened to me on more than one occasion. KimmyShop.com is my first stop shop for hard to find merchandise and low prices.

School is currently in session and even though it is the middle of the year, it’s never too late to get a new backpack for next year. Backpacks are a huge steal on their site and they even sell matching lunch boxes to go along with them. It pays to shop ahead of time! This was the backpack I was sent to review and it couldn’t have been a better choice..

 

Toodie was thrilled when she saw it was a Yo Gabba Gabba backpack. Last year we were lucky enough to see them live when they were performing in South Florida. As I opened the package she immediately recognized the characters- and her favorite, Toodee. Sense a similarity? Yo Gabba Gabba coincidentally was the show that inspired her nickname! With the bright colors and characters I feel this backpack would be great for girls and boys.

 

 

This backpack is durable, well made, and very spacious. Since Toodie is now in daycare I pack her extra clothing, bedding, and a blanket each week. It’s very important that I can fit all of these things in her backpack comfortably so they can pack it away in the small classroom space. I was able to get everything she needed inside without her falling over from it being so heavy. This backpack also has an extra pocket on the side and a huge zippered front pouch if needed. It was so cute seeing her walk into the classroom struttin’ her stuff with her new Yo Gabba Gabba backpack, and a huge smile!

Am i the only person the world that had no idea that there were this many different kind of tweezers? HOLY COW! I guess I really have been missing out here.
 
I am tempted to try everything sent to me immediately but I know if I do this it could get out of hand and I may end up with little to NO eyebrows! I wouldn’t want to scare anyone especially myself. After having a bad eyebrow wax job when i was in my teens, it has been so difficult to get my eyebrows back to where I want them.
 
Before joining the Tweezerman Ambassador program I was not familiar with their products. I have been using the same pair of worn down tweezers for years now, probably since high school. I never understood the importance of a good pair of tweezers until two years ago when i begun growing them out in attempts to get my brows fuller. I have heard Tweezerman is the best and I can’t wait to see for myself! With this kit I have no excuse not to have awesome brows.
