During the summer we spend a lot of time on the go, exploring our city and keeping busy before the school year starts. Traveling back and forth from one place to another usually means we have to grab a quick bite for lunch or even dinner. It’s times like these in which the concept of “fast food” become a necessity. Lucky for us a new restaurant called PDQ just opened in our area and their service is pretty darn quick! Not only do they specialize in fast-food staples like sandwiches and salads, they also have the most incredible tenders in town. Trust me, I’ve had my fair share of the crispy strips since they’ve been open.

Have you ever had one of those days where you find yourself hovering anxiously by your front door because a package is due to be delivered? It’s not any package either, but a FABULOUS one. You look like a creeper peeping out of your own window but can’t help yourself because every car that drives by may be holding your precious cargo. That was me a few weeks ago when I found out my first FabFitFun subscription box was on its way. To say I was excited would be an understatement. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the FabFitFun Summer Edition box which is packed with over $275 in goodies! Once it finally reached my doorstep I understood why so many ladies adore this unique subscription service. Fabulous, fun, and how did they fit so much stuff in there?

When Toodie was born she had a full head of jet black hair that quickly formed into tight curls when she became a toddler. I was thrilled that she inherited her father’s curly hair instead of my own. Mine has always been a mixture of wavy and straight, the kind that HAS to be washed and styled everyday to look decent. Luckily, Toodie has been blessed with a head of beautiful healthy hair. While those tight ringlets only lasted a few short years before her first real hair cut, today she has loose curls that tend to get tangled easily. SoCozy products at Target have helped transform the unwanted knots and rat nests back to smooth bouncy locks.

As a member of the Starbucks Coffee Blogger Community I received samples to facilitate this post. As always, all opinions are my own! #TasteOfPlace #CoffeePassion
Last month a special package arrived at my doorstep, one filled with new Starbucks® goodies to satisfy my caffeine cravings just in time for spring and summer. There are only two weeks left of school and my schedule is still packed with end of the year activities. If there were ever a time that I needed my coffee stash to be full it’s now. I thought things would be slowing down but that was wishful thinking. I am hopeful that this summer vacation will stretch out and I will be able to catch up on some much needed sleep before the back to school craziness starts up again. However, I have many adventures planned and I have a feeling that I will still need my usual cup of Starbucks® to get me through the long days of fun. Not that I’m complaining, I practically live with an iced coffee in hand anyways. It’s just a part of life.

Over the years the way in which we store and share our memories has evolved tremendously. It’s nothing short of amazing that we have gone from what we now consider a vintage film roll to digitally transferring our most treasured photos from camera to computer within seconds. Waiting for them to be developed at the corner store is no longer a necessity and neither is printing 200 random images from a wind up camera in which half are shadowy figures or accidental shots of your shoe.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Influence Central for Cirque du Soleil. I received tickets to Amaluna to facilitate my post as well as a promotional item to thank me for participating.
In the midst of preparing for the holidays I was given the opportunity to sneak away and attend the Cirque Du Soleil: Amaluna show during its debut here in South Florida. Each year Cirque du Soleil performs a different show with a new story line. For the first time in their history, Amaluna features a cast of 70% women along with an 100% all-female band! As someone who has never attended a show quite like this I couldn’t wait to see how the music, gymnastics, story, and acrobatics fused together to create a magical performance.

Ever have that feel good moment when you buy a new outfit and cannot wait to wear it out for the first time? You put it on, step in front of a mirror, add a few accessories ….and then you spot it. “It” being those awful white deodorant streaks that are nearly impossible to remove without taking everything off and submerging it in the sink! We’ve all fallen victim to the dreaded residue and fortunately for us there is now a solution. You can now get superior protection without the hassle with the new dry spray antiperspirants from Degree, Dove, and Axe.

I learned a long time ago that becoming a parent meant having to combine girl’s night in with play dates and our little ones. Five years later and it’s become more that second nature to myself and my friends who do have children. For those of them that don’t they will one day learn that “girl’s night” now means pizza, animated movies, and painting tiny nails while singing along to the Frozen soundtrack.
