Halloween is a short month away. I have a feeling the next four weeks are going to speed by too. Most of us are preparing our children’s costumes, making goodie bags for school, and creating fun festive recipes to start the holiday off right. While you may have all of those things in order, did you remember your furry friend? This year make a conscious effort to treat your pet with a spooky snack on the big night. After all, who doesn’t take their dog out this time of year? It’s the one day we have an excuse to dress them up in ridiculous costumes and show them off to neighbors. Well at least that’s what WE do! I can’t say Chloe & Sam are big fans of that whole process but they do enjoy the constant flow of company at the house. As long as they have something of their own to snack on, the barking is kept to a minimum and little tails are waggin’.

While I was familiar with the Sweet & Creamy Iced Coffee, I had never tried the Snapple Peach Iced Tea or Vitamin Burst Strawberry Pomegranate flavors. Truthfully, I wasn’t even aware that there were K-Cups available in anything BUT coffee! I was pleasantly surprised because I do love iced coffee but on those hot Summer days I tend to crave a cold lemonade or tea to fight the heat. The Sweet & Creamy Iced Coffee cups are one of my absolute favorite. I discovered them at my local grocery store a few months back and have been enjoying them ever since. I don’t leave the house without my ice coffee in hand and this flavor satisfies my sweet tooth before the day even begins. It doesn’t even need whip cream! It’s creamy, sweet, and cold. Triple threat? I think so!


I was anxious to try the Vitamin Burst cup in Strawberry Pomegranate. I expected this to be more on the juice side given it is a “fruit brew” and completely opposite from what I am used to making with my Keurig. It’s naturally sweet and high in Vitamin C. All I needed was my Brew Over Ice Tumbler filled to the top with ice cubes. Popped the K-Cup in and then I let the magic begin. I could smell the aroma of the fruity mixture immediately! It was a nice change compared to the typical strong scent of coffee beans that lingers through the kitchen in the morning.

If your new to drinking any type of Brew Over Ice beverage, remember to always fill your cup to the very top with ice! It tends to melt really fast. I learned this the hard way when I was a Keurig “newbie.” A lot of spills, watered down creations, and potent concoctions came from the first few months of becoming a Keurig owner. I must have tried out every single design with an assortment of pictures a handful of times. You choose which device you are shopping for, pick a template, then decide on the images you want to use. One of my favorite features of this application is that you can upload the photos and drag them into the spots you think they fit best. This makes your case completely customizable to your liking. You can add filters, texts, or fun pre-made picture tiles also. The last step is to device which style case you would like. I had those choice of frosty white or charcoal. Since I am the owner of a white iPhone I decided to go with the frosty white, which is actually more on the clear side.

When my Casetagram case arrived it came wrapped in tissue within the cutest little brown box. This would make such a wonderful gift for a close friend or significant other. It may be a few months early, but can you say stocking stuffer? Perfect size! My phone snapped right inside the case making it snug as a bug. It fits nice and tight on your phone which I really like. I hate when cases are loose and I have to worry about it sliding or falling off the phone.

Music is my escape. Sometimes I just need to curl up on the couch, grab a cup of coffee, and drift off into a land of beautiful tunes. This is one of my favorite things to do when I am taking “mommy” time out of my typical day. I normally bring my existing headphones with me when I leave the house, but to avoid getting tangled in my bag I have to keep them in the car. On The Road Again: UBOOLY Road Trip Pack Makes Traveling FUN! #UboolyRoadTrip

July has not been a very kind month here in South Florida. Rain, thunderstorms, and minor floods have take over our Summer fun!  This Summer I had big plans of exciting travels with my family but the crummy weather sure put a damper on them. While mommy checked her list twice, Toodie made sure that her fluffy friend Ubooly was also prepared for a memorable day at the beach. Remember this plushy cutie pie? Girl’s Night In With Brancott Estate Wine + The Bachelorette #ChillHour #BacheloretteABC

Each Monday there are two things that I look forward to, a cold bottle of wine waiting in my refrigerator and a new episode of the Bachelorette! OH and ONE more thing- quiet mommy bliss time minus tantrums, sassy ‘tudes, and playing dress up. Mondays are EVEN better when I have my best girlfriends over to share a few laughs and catch up on the craziness going on in each other’s lives. Being a mom is no easy task and we rarely get the shortest of moments to take a breather. That’s why we make an effort to take one day out of the week for “adult” time, no kiddos allowed! Spending Monday night’s all together just makes more sense and this week we had a delicious addition to our viewing party. Prior to our girl’s night in festivities, we were all unfamiliar with Brancott Estate wines. We may be best of friends but when it comes to our taste in wine we all prefer a little something different. This actually comes as an advantage when we get together because we all have the opportunity to try a variety that each enjoys. Both of my girlfriends have a mutual love for a variety of red and white wine. On the other hand, I have always found myself drinking sweet and bubbly Moscato. I envisioned girl’s night in as not only being a fun time with friends but also the opportunity to step out of my box a bit. After a cold glass of Brancott Estate’s Sauvignon Blanc I was ready to explore my options further! I must have been limiting myself all of the years because I never realized that there may be something else out there for my picky taste buds.

We all found the tasting notes of each wine to be very interesting. When drinking wine we don’t usually put much thought into the flavors and what foods may compliment them. Brancott Estate wines are created from the Marlborough region of beautiful New Zealand. The Sauvignon Blanc has a noticeably unique flavor to it. I am used to drinking wine that has a bit of a bubble so it came off as new to me. But for my guests, they has no hesitation in raving about how delicious it tasted. The scent is fruity and sweet. We found it to be best chilled, refreshing and crisp. It paired well with seasoned hummus inside warm pita pockets. The acidity is noticeable and complimented the pepper jack cheese slices served. It is also recommended with grilled oysters, barbecued prawns or salmon, and poached white fish. If you aren’t not much of a seafood eater it will also be a great match for green salads containing parsley, pepper, or lemon. 

“With aromas of ripe, red cherry accentuated with savory and spice highlights, the style of this wine is typical of fruit-driven Pinot Noir. It has a sweet, velvet approach, displaying ripe red stone fruits, subtle spice, silky tannins, and good length providing a balance of structure and concentration.”


The Pinot Noir gives off an immediate scent of  berries including cherry, strawberry, and even blackberry. Everyone preferred this wine at room temperate instead of chilled. It really brought out the deep flavors. This wine is best paired with duck dishes, red meat dishes, and incorporating mushrooms. Simpler choices may include salmon, turkey, veal, lamb, and  venison. Even if you are not hungry this wine is yummy all on it’s own. It reigned as the “favorite” of the group! The Pinot Noir was much lighter than the Sauvignon Blanc and left a smooth finish. It would be delicious accompanied by a tender filet and baked potato.
